Less than 10 minutes from Villa Castillo Nuevo, Playa de La Glea at Campoamor is a firm favourite of ours. You can head down for a peaceful morning walk, taking to the beach or using the walkways and promenade finishing off with a coffee to start your day at Restaurante Montepiedraplaya. If you are feeling a little more energetic, you can follow the coastal path to Cabo Roig beach. If you prefer to relax and top up your tan, take your towel and flip flops down for the day. La Barraca Restaurant, with views out to see or across the harbour do a wonderful selection of seafood and paella so grab a spot of lunch or head down for an evening meal as the sun sets.
